BerMax Signs Come Down As Bailiffs Move In

Just 48 hours after the arrest of the Berent family on charges they staged an antisemitic hate crime inside their BerMax Caffe and Bistro on April 18th, the landlords decided to take action.

TheJ.ca was first on the scene as the ladders came up, signage came down, and windows are scraped of all mention of programming at BerMax Café this morning.

Property owners Lakeview Realty placed an eviction notice on the window, indicating rent had not been paid as of April 3rd.

Just last night TheJ.ca got a second confirmation that a surveillance camera was installed in the restaurant, contradicting claims by Maxim Berent to other media that none were on site.

We were first to report that Maxim claimed to have found his mother unconscious after what was alleged to be a fourth anti-semitic incident at the Corydon eatery.
