Members of the LA business and arts communities are joining forces to provide crucial support to children in Israel affected by the trauma of the October 7th Hamas terror attacks. Through a collaborative effort between the LA-based non-profit Artists 4 Israel and Shugar Soapworks, a unique solution known as the Healing Arts Kits is being deployed to alleviate trauma and mitigate the risk of PTSD among young survivors.

On February 7th, Shugar Soapworks will open its factory doors in Commerce City to the public, inviting families, schools, churches, and synagogues to participate in packing these vital Healing Arts Kits. This initiative not only aims to assemble the kits but also to educate participants on the therapeutic power of art in combating trauma.

The Healing Arts Kits, resembling standard first aid kits, contain a range of art supplies and toy-like items carefully selected by a team of experts to facilitate therapeutic activities for children without the need for explicit instruction. Activities such as blowing bubbles for deep breathing, working with clay for grounding, and engaging with finger puppets representing strong animals serve to address trauma symptoms and promote mental well-being.

Thank you for choosing TheJ.Ca as your source for Canadian Jewish News.

We do news differently!

Our positioning as a Zionist News Media platform sets us apart from the rest. While other Canadian Jewish media are advocating increasingly biased progressive political and social agendas, TheJ.Ca is providing more and more readers with a welcome alternative and an ideological home.

We revealed the incursion of anti-Israel progressive elements such as IfNotNow into our communities. We have exposed the distorted hateful agenda of the “progressive” left political radicals who brought Linda Sarsour to our cities, and we were first to report on many disturbing incidents of Nazi-based hate towards Jews across Canada.

But we can’t do it alone. We need your HELP!

Our ability to thrive and grow in 2020 and beyond depends on the generosity of committed readers and supporters like you.

Monthly support is a great way to help us sustain our operations. We greatly appreciate any contributions you can make to support Jewish Journalism.

We thank you for your ongoing support.
