In a heartfelt initiative, the World Zionist Organization is reaching out to Jewish communities in Israel and the Diaspora, seeking empty apartments for residents of the Gaza Periphery who have tragically lost their homes due to recent conflicts. This innovative project, named “My Home is Your Home,” calls upon apartment owners to generously offer their unoccupied properties to provide much-needed housing for families in distress.

As the aftermath of recent hostilities leaves hundreds of families without homes, there is an urgent requirement for long-term temporary housing. While many have temporarily relocated to hotels, this solution is neither sustainable nor cost-effective in the long run. The World Zionist Organization is taking proactive steps to address these housing challenges, spearheading the “My Home is Your Home” project under the leadership of Chairman Yaakov Hagoel.

This groundbreaking endeavor has already begun as the World Zionist Organization reaches out to individuals in Israel and the Diaspora who own unoccupied apartments within Israel. They are putting together an operational and professional infrastructure to facilitate this charitable effort, including a dedicated website and international outreach through advertisements in Hebrew, English, French, Spanish, and other languages.

The World Zionist Organization is fully committed to ensuring a smooth and secure transition process for both the apartment owners and the families in need. A legally binding contract will be established between the World Zionist Organization and the apartment owners, and another contract will be created between the organization and the family destined to reside in the provided housing.

Yaakov Hagoel, Chairman of the World Zionist Organization, shared his thoughts on the initiative, stating, “The World Zionist Organization uses all the means at its disposal to help IDF soldiers, Israeli citizens, and Diaspora Jews. Alongside the organization’s employees who are now serving the State of Israel on the battlefield, other volunteers and employees of the organization have mobilized for the home front and are responsible for dozens of initiatives for the security of the State of Israel and its citizens. The ‘My Home is Your Home’ initiative is an example of the mutual responsibility between the Jews of the Diaspora and the citizens of Israel. We are happy to be able to carry out an emotional joining of hearts and further promote the unity of Israel in this difficult time. We want to thank the Jews in Israel and in the Diaspora who joined the initiative and everyone who provides a roof over the heads of their brothers in Israel who now need a home where they can find safety, calmness, and shelter from the fierce fighting. We are one people and united we will win.”

The “My Home is Your Home” initiative not only offers much-needed shelter but also serves as a powerful testament to the unity and unwavering support within the global Jewish community. In these trying times, the strength of togetherness shines through, highlighting the resilience and determination of the Israeli people.

We do news differently!

Our positioning as a Zionist News Media platform sets us apart from the rest. While other Canadian Jewish media are advocating increasingly biased progressive political and social agendas, TheJ.Ca is providing more and more readers with a welcome alternative and an ideological home.

We revealed the incursion of anti-Israel progressive elements such as IfNotNow into our communities. We have exposed the distorted hateful agenda of the “progressive” left political radicals who brought Linda Sarsour to our cities, and we were first to report on many disturbing incidents of Nazi-based hate towards Jews across Canada.

But we can’t do it alone. We need your HELP!

Our ability to thrive and grow in 2020 and beyond depends on the generosity of committed readers and supporters like you.

Monthly support is a great way to help us sustain our operations. We greatly appreciate any contributions you can make to support Jewish Journalism.
