I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to address the recent absence of our publication, TheJ.Ca, over the past week. As the events of October 7th unfolded, like many others around the world, I watched with heartbreak and disbelief as the Hamas Death Cult carried out horrific acts of violence, including murder, rape, beheadings, kidnappings, injuries, and burnings, targeting hundreds of innocent Jews. By the time this wave of violence subsided, over 1400 people had lost their lives, thousands were injured, and more than 200 were kidnapped and held hostage.

In response to this shocking violence, I immediately sprang into action. I collaborated closely with local law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety of our local Jewish community. I provided interviews to local and national news organizations, organized multiple rallies in support of Israel, and spent time briefing government officials at all levels about the rapidly changing situation in the region. Additionally, I dedicated time to social media channels, advocating for Israel and debunking Hamas propaganda.

These traumatic events also hit close to home for me, as I have a relative who was injured while trying to escape the violence, as well as a close childhood friend who was wounded by an anti-tank missile fired by Hezbollah into the town of Metula. While my friend’s vehicle took a direct hit, he miraculously survived, albeit with shrapnel wounds in his head and back.

As a news organization, our primary goal is to provide our readers with accurate and informative content. However, due to the fast-paced and evolving nature of events since October 7th, we were unable to produce an edition that met our usual standards of quality and integrity. I must also acknowledge that our contributors, who are volunteers, have been equally affected by the traumatic events of the past ten days.

As we gradually resume our regular operations, we understand that the situation in Israel remains fluid and may result in continued delays in the publication of our weekly editions. We appreciate your understanding and want to acknowledge that, like us, you have also been impacted by the events of October 7th and the ongoing war.

In times of great adversity, we must remember that Israel and the Jewish people have faced and overcome significant challenges throughout history. We firmly believe that Israel will prevail, and the Jewish people will prevail. Together, we stand united in our shared values and resilience, holding fast to the belief that “Am Israel Chai!”

Thank you for your continued support and readership.

Thank you for choosing TheJ.Ca as your source for Canadian Jewish News.

We do news differently!

Our positioning as a Zionist News Media platform sets us apart from the rest. While other Canadian Jewish media are advocating increasingly biased progressive political and social agendas, TheJ.Ca is providing more and more readers with a welcome alternative and an ideological home.

We revealed the incursion of anti-Israel progressive elements such as IfNotNow into our communities. We have exposed the distorted hateful agenda of the “progressive” left political radicals who brought Linda Sarsour to our cities, and we were first to report on many disturbing incidents of Nazi-based hate towards Jews across Canada.

But we can’t do it alone. We need your HELP!

Our ability to thrive and grow in 2020 and beyond depends on the generosity of committed readers and supporters like you.

Monthly support is a great way to help us sustain our operations. We greatly appreciate any contributions you can make to support Jewish Journalism.

We thank you for your ongoing support.
