In a historic display of commitment to Jewish heritage, the Jewish Future Pledge (JFP) has exceeded expectations by securing over 25,000 pledges from philanthropic family foundations, individuals, and families. These pledges represent a colossal commitment of just over $2.4 billion earmarked for sustaining a thriving Jewish future and supporting the State of Israel.

Each of the 25,000 individual pledges is estimated to be valued at $25,000, contributing a substantial $625 million. Moreover, JFP has garnered 41 significant pledges from prominent family and charitable foundations, such as the Charles & Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation and the Marcus Foundation. When combined, these generous commitments boost the total funds set aside for Jewish causes and the State of Israel to an impressive $2.446 billion.

Solidarity in Action

JFP Founder Mike Leven expressed the monumental achievement as more than just a statistic, emphasizing the profound unity, unwavering commitment, and shared vision within the community. These pledges reflect a sacred commitment to preserve Jewish heritage and uphold faith in the future, driven by generosity and foresight.

Changing the Philanthropic Landscape

Research indicates that individuals typically leave an average of $50,000 to charity in their estate plans. However, through JFP, each pledger has committed to allocate half of their planned charitable contributions to support Jewish causes or Israel, averaging $25,000 per pledge. With the participation of family and charitable foundations, the pledged endowment surges significantly.

Impact Beyond Numbers

These 25,000 pledges signify more than just numerical data; they embody countless conversations, celebrating Jewish values, faith, and dedication. Each pledge carries with it a story of love and commitment, leaving a lasting impact on the Jewish community’s future. This initiative aims to inspire intergenerational conversations and uphold the Jewish tradition of Tzedakah, preserving Jewish values and life lessons.

The Power of Collective Action

The Jewish Future Pledge emphasizes the pivotal role of generational wealth transfer in sustaining nonprofit organizations. Legacy gifts serve as vital resources for educational endeavors, community development, social services, and cultural initiatives.

A Global Movement

Inspired by the Giving Pledge introduced by Warren Buffett and Bill and Melinda Gates in 2010, The Jewish Future Pledge invites people of all income levels to participate, whether they plan to leave $10 or $10 million to charity. This initiative transcends borders and generations, forging a powerful wave of collective action to ensure a vibrant Jewish future and support the State of Israel.

The Jewish Future Pledge’s remarkable success showcases the enduring commitment of individuals, families, and foundations to safeguard Jewish values, traditions, and Israel’s future for generations to come.

Thank you for choosing TheJ.Ca as your source for Canadian Jewish News.

We do news differently!

Our positioning as a Zionist News Media platform sets us apart from the rest. While other Canadian Jewish media are advocating increasingly biased progressive political and social agendas, TheJ.Ca is providing more and more readers with a welcome alternative and an ideological home.

We revealed the incursion of anti-Israel progressive elements such as IfNotNow into our communities. We have exposed the distorted hateful agenda of the “progressive” left political radicals who brought Linda Sarsour to our cities, and we were first to report on many disturbing incidents of Nazi-based hate towards Jews across Canada.

But we can’t do it alone. We need your HELP!

Our ability to thrive and grow in 2020 and beyond depends on the generosity of committed readers and supporters like you.
