Jewish leaders around the world have been avoiding the problems of antisemitism despite that fact that it has been increasing at an ever increasing speed worldwide.
There are four main ways they have been trying – keep your head down, keep quiet, hope management will help control the violence, and talk about the Holocaust in an effort to obtain sympathy.
Obvious when faced with a vicious, lying organization such as BDS that has the support of the United Nations, this strategy has not worked. What to do? Asking the world to be nice to us Jews does not work.
However since our culture is different than any other culture, the method we should seek is to promote the current values of our culture and change our culture in a positive way, to make it both better and acceptable to a world of current and potential antisemites.
I suggest the following changes to our ritual.
1. Conversions
a) accept converts – make it easier for non-Jews who would like to become Jews, to do so.
b) accept people who have one Jewish parent as Jewish if they show a sincere desire to convert.
2. Promote our cultural attributes.
a) We are clever because of our history and because of our early training.
b) We have a good Jewish sense of humour
c) We have an aptitude for music.
d) We are peace-loving.
e) We have close families.
3. Promote our social goals and ethical laws. These have mostly been adopted by the Christian world who do not remember that it came from us.
4. Acknowledge Jesus as wholly Jewish and admired by Jews.
5. Try to find Jewish role models for ourselves and our children.
6. Teach ourselves both our religion, our history, and our culture.

7. Have reconciliation not only with non-Jews but with Jews of different denominations
8. Emphasize how charitable Jews are both within their Jewish community and within their secular community.
9. Know the details of Israel’s current and past history.
10. Learn to counteract the arguments denigrating Israel, including the lies or semi- truths of antisemites like BDS.
Learn Palestinian and other anti-Israel cultures and beliefs. Attack those standards and ideas that are clearly harmful to themselves and to others.
12. a) Learn all forms of physicality. Strength and courage is respected by non-Jews, but much less so by Jews. We must individually become physically strong and trained so that we can defend ourselves personally. Be able to defend ourselves against small groups and small and large countries.
b) We must gain respect for physicality and courage and, with those who would destroy us, not prioritize negotiations over fighting or going to war to protect our present and future.
Now I know that the above is a big, difficult list, but changing ourselves will make us better and stronger, and may, just may, change non-Jewish attitudes to respect Judaism, individual Jews, Jewish communities, and Individual Jews.
The time to start the process is now.

Thank you for choosing TheJ.Ca as your source for Canadian Jewish News.
We do news differently!
Our positioning as a Zionist News Media platform sets us apart from the rest. While other Canadian Jewish media are advocating increasingly biased progressive political and social agendas, TheJ.Ca is providing more and more readers with a welcome alternative and an ideological home.
We revealed the incursion of anti-Israel progressive elements such as IfNotNow into our communities. We have exposed the distorted hateful agenda of the “progressive” left political radicals who brought Linda Sarsour to our cities, and we were first to report on many disturbing incidents of Nazi-based hate towards Jews across Canada.
But we can’t do it alone. We need your HELP!
Our ability to thrive and grow in 2020 and beyond depends on the generosity of committed readers and supporters like you.
