2017- May –  In the House of Commons on May 1, 2017:

Hon. Peter Kent (Thornhill, CPC): Mr. Speaker, the Liberal government’s reluctance to demand better of the United Nations is unacceptable. Whether funding terror incitement in UNRWA schools, concealing votes for human rights abusers to the Human Rights Council, ignoring the antisemitic denial of Jerusalem’s history by UNESCO, or now downplaying the election of Saudi Arabia to the status of women, all of this makes Canada complicit in the UN’s dysfunction. Is there no end to the Prime Minister‘s willingness to pander to rights abusers in his indecent pursuit of a Security Council seat?

The Minister did not respond to the substance of the question

2019 – December- After  Francois-Phillipe Champagne was appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Jewish national organization B’nai Brith Canada

a. asked him  to lead the way for Canada to fight  against antisemitism  and  the de-de-legitimization of Israel on the world stage, and

b. towards this end, provided the Minister with a list of eight recommendations in carrying  out this  task

To the best of my knowledge, Champagne did not undertake any of these recommendations during his tenure in Foreign Affairs.

The curious silence

2020- Fatah is the political movement and the legislative party of Mahmoud Abbas, head of the P.A. The Fatah Revolutionary Council is listed as a terrorist organization in Canada.

Abbas honoured a supporter of terrorism who repeatedly praised and glorified terrorists on social media by appointing him Secretary of the Fatah Movement in Canada.

A major Canadian Jewish group expressed deep concerns about the appointment. Christine Douglass-Williams, Jihad Watch, June 25, 2020. The government refused to address the question as to the

propriety and necessity of having in Canada a branch of a foreign political movement which finances terrorism against Israel.

What’s wrong with the selection of Canadian envoys to the P.A.?

 – Envoy reads Israel out of the map

2021- At a ceremony honouring female Palestinian entrepreneurs hosted by the P.A Ministry of Women’s Affairs, Jason Tulk, Head of Cooperation at the Representative Office of Canada in the P.A, together with the P.A. Minister of Women’s Affairs Dr. Amal Hamad handed out an honorary plaque in the shape of the PA map of “Palestine which entirely erases the State of Israel.”

By agreeing to hand out this particular map, Tulk himself and indirectly his employer Canada] implicitly legitimised the P.A. and Hamas’ vision of a world without Israel. Itamar Marcus and Nan Jacques Zilberdik, Palestinian Media Watch [Month and day not shown] 2021.layds

What’s wrong with the selection of Canadian envoys to the P.A.?

– Envoy lauds convicted Palestinian terrorist as “great friend of Canada”

2022- On August 25, (now former) Canadian envoy Robin Wettlaufer met with Jibril Rajoub, Secretary –General of the ruling Fatah party and chief of the Palestinian Football Association and Palestine Olympic Committee.

After the meeting, the Canadian Representative Office issue a tweet about the meeting, lauding Rajoub as a “great friend of Canada”. Wettlaufer’s office soon deleted the tweet because Rajoub is, in fact, a serial terrorist convicted of committing multiple terrorist attacks who used sports to incite hatred against Israel and its people.

Wettlaufer’s’ utterance upset three Jewish M.Ps. Two of them (Liberal) issued a joint statement.

The third one, Conservative M.P. Melissa Lantsman, called on Foreign Minister Melanie Joly to respond to Wettlaufer’s tweet. We are still waiting for the response. World Israel News Staff, Canadian Envoy lauds Arab terrorist, Arafat ally, August 28, 2022

What’s wrong with the selection of Canadian envoys to the P.A?

Envoy engages in discussions with CJPME

Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East (CJPME) is an anti-Israel, anti-Zionist entity and in accordance with the IHRA definition adopted by Canada. antisemitic.

During the current year, the VP of the organisation met with David da Silva, Canada’s representative to the Palestinian Authority.

After the meeting, the VP tweeted that, he had a productive meeting with da Silva, during which he “raised” urgent concerns about Israel’s attacks on Palestinian civil society and encouraged Canada to reject Israel’s unfounded ‘terror’ designations.”

Da Silva @CanadaRepPA, replied to CJPME @mbueckert: “thank you for your visit and for the discussion. I look forward to continuing to engage with you and CJPME on these important issues.”

This exchange led Ron East, founder of the Israeli Canadian Council and publisher of TheJ.ca weekly, to the right [and troubling] question:

”Why would an official representative of the Canadian government meet with such an organisation? Marty Gold, The Gales of November Howl Around CJPM, TheJ.ca November 16, 2022

The strange working partners of Palestinian Authority’s security forces

In the current year’s surge of Palestinian terrorism against Israel. the Fatah Deputy Chairman Mahmoud al -Aloul admitted that the O.A. Security Forces were fighting together with Tanzim terrorists against the “occupation”. Maurice Hirsch, Abbas deputy admits that P.A. security forces are working together with terrorists, Israpundit, October 27, 2022

I am still waiting for the Canadian government to advise the P.A. to cease doing that so as not to set back progress towards peace through the two-state solution.

We do news differently!

Our positioning as a Zionist News Media platform sets us apart from the rest. While other Canadian Jewish media are advocating increasingly biased progressive political and social agendas, TheJ.Ca is providing more and more readers with a welcome alternative and an ideological home.

We revealed the incursion of anti-Israel progressive elements such as IfNotNow into our communities. We have exposed the distorted hateful agenda of the “progressive” left political radicals who brought Linda Sarsour to our cities, and we were first to report on many disturbing incidents of Nazi-based hate towards Jews across Canada.

But we can’t do it alone. We need your HELP!

Our ability to thrive and grow in 2020 and beyond depends on the generosity of committed readers and supporters like you.
