The leaders of the Canadian wing of the terrorist-supporting Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network were detained, evicted and banned from Europe in the last week of October.

The organization protested “the denial of entry of our international Coordinator, Charlotte Kates, and one of the founders of the Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement, Khaled Barakat to the Netherlands and their deportation from Amsterdam airport to Canada by the Dutch military police. Charlotte and Khaled were on their way to participate in the Week of Action for Return and Liberation of Palestine.”

According to Canadian journalist Terry Glavin, Barakat “was scheduled to give a talk on the thoughts of Fathi Shiqaqi, founder of Palestinian Islamic Jihad, the bloodthirsty Iranian proxy in Gaza that ranks second only to Hamas in its penchant for suicide bombings and rocket attacks.”

Upon arrival at Amsterdam Schiphol airport on October 24, the two were detained by Dutch military police. Kates is originally from New Jersey, lives in Vancouver, and is married to Barakat. He is barred from both the US and Germany, yet has been appearing at rallies and meetings across Canada and traveled to and from Europe several times. The prior ban from Germany was cited as the basis to return him to Canada.

Samoudin complained, “The Netherlands and Germany both support the Zionist entity financially, militarily, and politically, even during their countless aggressions and wars against the Palestinian people and the Gaza strip.”

Samidoun is the proxy of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), one of the currently listed terrorist entities of Public Safety Canada, Barakat emerged as a Palestinian student activist in 2004 in Vancouver, after being deported from the US. According to B’nai Brith Canada, “While in Canada, Barakat has published articles in which he calls for acts of international terrorism by the PFLP, targeting Israeli and “Zionist” targets beyond the Middle East.”

At a BDS rally in Toronto’s Dundas Square in April organized by Samoudin, chants included “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free”, “with our soul, with our blood, we will redeem al-Aqsa”, and “We are not antisemitic, you all sound so pathetic.”

Serial harasser of Toronto’s Jews facing charges

The disruptive antics of Iran booster Firas Al Najim have grown more bold in the last 5 years. He has personally broadcast many of his stunts, including cornering the Prime Minister’s wife in a supermarket and berating attendees at Toronto’s UJA gala in September.

Leveraging his position as co-manager of the Canadian Defenders for Human Rights (CD4HR), he recently pivoted his belligerent behavior towards Canadian-Iranians protesting the mullah’s brutality towards women, students and reformers. That has now landed the 38 year old in court.

York Regional police stated: “On Sunday, October 23, 2022, at approximately 3:45 p.m., officers were at the scene of a protest at a mosque located at 7340 Bayview Avenue in Markham. At the end of the protest, a male suspect driving a white Kia SUV drove at a high rate of speed in the direction of a crowd of people. The accused stopped the vehicle abruptly, squealing the tires while yelling at the protestors. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle but the suspect fled from police. He was located a short time later and was arrested. When officers searched the vehicle, they located items including an airsoft gun, a baton and bear spray. He is facing additional weapons related charges as a result.”

In a video posted by CD4HR, Al Najim described how he was driving near “the disgusting despicable Zionist centre (when) thugs surrounded and barricaded the car.”

“If I wanted to, I could have came out of the vehicle, and that guy would have got a lesson of his lifetime, I do not fear nobody,” pronounced the Ayatollah lover.

He admitted he had planned to protest the Nikki Haley speech in Brampton before being detained. Al Najim insisted the Sergeant who arrested him was “biased! … this person could be somehow affiliated possibly with (Thornhill Conservative MP) Melissa Lantsman and her project… because I‘ve made some solid bald stands, standing up for the Palestinians and I will not be deterred.”

“They are cooking something for me to look dangerous in front of the public… I want to say to all the authorities in Canada, I’m not scared of death.”

Abdul-Jabbar honoured in Toronto

Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center honoured basketball’s leading ambassador with an award at a Toronto gala last week.

National Basketball Association legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar received the first annual Ally Against Antisemitism Award from Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center for what the organization described as “being a steadfast ally in the fight against antisemitism and building bridges between communities.”

In his address, the multi-time NCAA and NBA championship winner delved into some of his most prominent works – including his op-ed in The Hollywood Reporter, “Where Is the Outrage Over Antisemitism in Sports and Hollywood?,” his book Brothers in Arms, and the History Channel documentary film “Fight the Power: The Movements that Changed America,” for which he was Executive producer. It examined the impact of key protests on the evolution of the United States.

He also decried how recently, “Jewish kids were intimidated and bullied and had to deal with a whole lot of violence or violent thoughts directed at them because someone like Kanye West says it’s okay. It’s not okay.”

Thank you for choosing TheJ.Ca as your source for Canadian Jewish News.

We do news differently!

Our positioning as a Zionist News Media platform sets us apart from the rest. While other Canadian Jewish media are advocating increasingly biased progressive political and social agendas, TheJ.Ca is providing more and more readers with a welcome alternative and an ideological home.

We revealed the incursion of anti-Israel progressive elements such as IfNotNow into our communities. We have exposed the distorted hateful agenda of the “progressive” left political radicals who brought Linda Sarsour to our cities, and we were first to report on many disturbing incidents of Nazi-based hate towards Jews across Canada.

But we can’t do it alone. We need your HELP!

Our ability to thrive and grow in 2020 and beyond depends on the generosity of committed readers and supporters like you.
