Will Israel Attack Iran’s Nuclear Facilities?

The nuclear deal is a means to establish another North Korea and take the world hostage.

“The Historic Deal that Will Prevent Iran from Acquiring a Nuclear Weapon” blared the Obama White House website in January 2016, “In short, here’s the difference this historic deal will make,” in describing the graphic republished below. (Image: obamawhitehgouse.archives.gov)

Coming to power four decades ago, the mullahs in Iran have always been seeking ways to interfere in other countries, engage in terrorist activities, destabilize the Middle East and target Western interests. On top of that, they have been trying to obtain nuclear weapons and an atomic bomb.

Although the Iranian government’s secret nuclear program was revealed from the Mohammad Khatami presidential period from the late 1990s, it has been always trying to declare its nuclear activities as a peaceful act and within its legitimate right, but its overt and covert activities during all these years confirmed the opposite. They hid nuclear sites, created underground nuclear facilities, denied the IAEA access to nuclear centers, created issues for IAEA inspectors, engaged in high level Uranium enrichment, installed many centrifuges, built new facilities and more.

Despite Iran having signed the N.P.T. treaty as one of the members of IAEA, it has always acted poorly and never adhered to it.  Iran – which started its secret nuclear program two decades earlier getting help from Pakistan and North Korea – has violated many regulations and laws and tried to mislead the international community. This led to the adoption of resolutions in the IAEA and UN Security Council. The economic and political pressures of sanctions under the Obama administration made Iran sit at the negotiation table, despite its wish, which led to JCPOA in 2015.

What Iran’s regime has tried during all these years is to show the world that its nuclear program is peaceful and even relied on Iran’s regime leaded Khamenei’s Fatwa, but after stealing related documents by Israel , the IAEA reports revealed that Iran neither stopped nor decreased the Uranium enrichment all these years, and even has violated many of the JCPOA articles which were neglected by Obama.

The reality is that the West has not been seeking to stop Iran’s nuclear program over these past decades, but to reach a loose agreement with Iran and making gestures in front of cameras to show the world that we made an agreement with this country. We remember the photos taken with Zarif and Kerry smiling and shaking hands, celebrating the JCPOA. Iran’s regime gained billions of dollars from the treaty and most European companies came back to Iran, but not the Americans, because there was not any American company active in Iran and the US received the least advantage from the JCPOA, since it was thinking of political scores.

From the beginning of negotiations, the independent observers and researchers said that this agreement could not stop the regime’s nuclear activities at all and just postponed it for a while and the main act of negotiation was just political aims. But the emotional atmosphere after JCPOA was a deception and too many journalists were reduced into being lobbyists for Iran.

Other than independent observers, countries like Israel and the majority of Republicans in the US were pessimistic about this agreement. As a result, Donald Trump, Republican party candidate for the 2016 US presidential election, declared in his election advertisement that if he is elected as the president, he will leave JCPOA – and it happened.

The difference between Western researchers and independent observers regarding the agreement is the reality that independent observers interpret the Iran`s behavior not only in the West and their media, but also include Iran and others actions from within, and thus pay more attention to inside the country and compare the government’s contradictory statements and signals between inside and outside the country.

As the Biden administration is all for re-making JCPOA as a new deal, the Iranian and Western lobbyists who benefit from it have a louder voice again. They started regime propaganda stressing that this will lead to stabilization in the region and a guarantee that Iran will never obtain a nuclear weapon (neglecting the ideological nature of the regime).

Under Iran’s regime according to Khoemini`s preaching, the government can shut down even prayers.

İn this kind of regime, the only important thing is regime durability and other affairs are used in service of this pillar. As a result of corruption and inefficiency, the regime is going through deterioration more and more and needs its protection.

The nuclear deal is a means to establish another North Korea and take the world hostage.

Many of the region’s countries such as Saudi Arabia and the UAE are using nuclear technology for peaceful aims under IAEA inspections. But Iran’s efforts to reach nuclear weapons can destabilize the region and world peace.

In this way it is necessary for Western countries – at top of them the US – to make a serious decision and have an obvious perspective on the matter. Iran’s regime has never been reliable and has always lied to the world. The possible scenarios related to the nuclear problem is reaching Iran with nuclear weapons and recognizing it as a nuclear power by the world or attacking its nuclear facilities by the West or at least by Israel.

According to Israel`s overt and covert attacks on Iran`s nuclear facilities in the past and its emphasis on not allowing Iran to reach an atomic bomb, the second option is more possible.

As Iran’s regime has always threatened Israel to remove it from the world map, an Israeli comprehensive attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities is not out of mind, because while Western countries and especially the US are a far distance, Israel is in range of Iran`s attacks. Iran has tested ballistic missiles capable of carrying warheads in recent years. Yet to come is the results of the Vienna talks, but regardless of the results, the scene will change by US Congress midterm elections and the probable win of Republicans.

It seems that the sweet days of Iran’s regime are going to end. We should wait and see when the story of the mouse and cat game between Iran and the West finishes and where stick and carrot policy comes to an end.
