The “March for Israel” in Washington, D.C., was a great response to pro-Hamas mobs. But ending the source of a rising tide of Jew-hatred requires opposing the woke ideology that created it.

The traditional Christmas mass and prayers will still take place, but without Christmas trees or festive lights.
The root of all modern-day evils for the new left is colonialism, and Israel is, they claim, a colonialist power.
Will we sell our souls to claim the moral high ground?
“This is in fact the actualization of a globalized intifada through violence,” said the president of Federation CJA of the sharp spike in antisemitism since Oct. 7.
“We knew there was an urgent need to replace ambulances that were stolen and destroyed. To know ours is part of this historic effort is incredibly gratifying,” said Pastor Larry Huch.

Foreign policy background
Biden’s background in foreign policy is both unimpressive and troublesome.
It is unimpressive, because as Kori Schake put it Biden was seldom a major force in American foreign and defence policy during more than three decades in the Senate – even though he served as the chairman of its Foreign Relations committee. Biden’s Bad Foreign-Policy Ideas, The Atlantic, June 7, 2022 https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2020/06/bidens-chance-disavow-his-bad-foreign-policy-ideas/612787/
As committee Chairman, he distinguished himself by his rough handling of Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin appearing before the committee, by shouting at him and threatening to cut off U.S. aid to Israel while banging on his desk. Stephen Silbiger, Joe Biden and Jew with Trembling Knees, October 21, 2020, https://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/2020/10/joe-biden-and-jews-trembling-knees-frontpagemagcom/
It is troublesome because Robert Gates, who served as the Secretary of Defence under both Presidents George. W. Bush and Obama emphatically stated that Biden “has been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades.”
Further, of serious concern is the history of Biden’s hostile dealings with the military compounded, as Schake points out, by his difficulties in deciding when to resort to arms and when not to.
Hence, his choice of Defence Secretary, a high ranking retired General Lloyd Austin. He is expected to act as a transmitter of orders, shunning the role of interlocutor with respect to the decisions made and directions given by Biden.
Biden has been named a “Fake Friend of Israel” with a “long destructive track record of undermining Israeli security”. John Perazzo, Joe Biden: Israel’s Fake “Friend” FrontPage Magazine via JNS, March 16, 2020 He has also been described as having anti-Israel stripes. Hugh Fitzgerald, Biden’s Anti-Israel Stripes April 2, 2020,
I have yet to come across any reports by persons knowledgeable in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict that refute the substance of and the evidence presented in these two articles. Biden’s self-presentation and interpretation of his achievements concerning Israel in his election pamphlet directed to the Jewish community, needless to say, takes a good deal of liberties with the facts as for example, the terms of the 10 year $38 billion military package – one of which caused substantial financial prejudice to the Israeli defence industries. cf. The Democratic Platform
Likewise, in the light of the Democratic Party’s platform for the 2020 election and Biden’s public endorsement of it, the undertaking to work closely with Israel to advance peace in the region is devoid of substance and in fact prejudicial to Israel. Biden’s appointments to senior level positions
Biden’s appointments to date, to senior positions dealing with foreign affairs, intelligence and security issues as well as domestic human rights issues reminds me of the old saying which I paraphrased for the subject at hand: Tell me who you nominate and I will tell you what you are.
[Note: With respect to the appointees identified below, unless otherwise indicated, the sentences or the information in quotation marks are from Joan Swirsky, Joe’s Jews-all hate Jews and Israel, ISRAPUNDIT February 1, 2021.
Secretary of State: (Promotion) Anthony Blinken (Jewish)
If Blinken, then-deputy secretary of state working with Wendy Sherman and Robert Malley was not the Chief architect of the 2015 disaster, excepting Barak Obama, he was the third one.
Insofar as the U.S.-Israel relations are concerned, in a call with the Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi,Blinken reaffirmed “the firm commitment of the U.S. to Israel’s security and to undertake to work closely with Israel to advance peace in the region.”
On the matter of security, during his senate hearing, he confirmed that the U.S. commitment to the Jewish State’s well-being was “sacrosanct.” It reminded me of Obama’s statement that U.S. has Israel’s back while he exposed her front to Iran and her sides to Hezbollah, and to Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
Further, and ominously, Blinken along with Linda Thomas-Greenfield and Avril Haine (infra.), are among the cadre of leaders of an advocacy group in Washington-the “Foreign Policy for America”(FPA), which has a very disturbing perspective on Israel: FPA is associated with the repulsive progressive J[udas] Street and is linked to the extremist Israeli organisation B’Tselem who ignores terrorism in Israel. For further details about FPA – Moshe Phillips, Biden Team’s Blind Spot on Terror, TheJ.ca, December 2, 2020. (Blinken “praised radical anti-Israel JStreet as a ‘constructive force’ and opposed designating the terrorist Iranian IRGC as a foreign terrorist organization.”)
Deputy US Secretary of State: Promoted: Wendy Sherman (Jewish).
Working with then-Deputy Secretary of State Blinken, Sherman was the chief architect of the disastrous 2015 nuclear deal with Iran. “Invoking her own Judaism, she described the dissent the Obama administration faced over the multilateral accord from the Jewish community as the most ‘painful’ part of the administration efforts to push the deal through.”
I venture to guess that the reader, who accepts Sherman’s statement at face value, will accept my offer to sell him or her the Pentagon for US $1.00.
Ms.Sherman is fibbing.
Obama and his staff wouldn’t hear about, let alone study, the overwhelming incontrovertible evidence generated by the Iranians themselves that Israel managed to steal. Prime Minister Netanyahu presented it to convince them that Iran fully intended to build an atomic bomb. This was not the first time she negotiated a nuclear deal with a totalitarian government.
Jonathan Tobin, editor of the JNS observed:” While Sherman is clearly an appalling negotiator and a terrible diplomat, she is something of a genius when it comes to gaining favour with Democratic presidents. Indeed, if capitalizing on your mistakes as opposed from learning from them is an art, then she is the Michelangelo of failing upward.”(January 19, 2021)
Sherman is also known to have “praised arch-terrorist Yassir Arafat as ‘the leader of the resistance movement’ and downplayed the PLO suicide bombings…that Arafat engineered.’”
The new US Deputy Assistant Secretary for Israel Palestinian Affairs has previously accused Israel of “ethnic cleansing”. (Photo: worldisraelnews.com)
Deputy Assistant Secretary for Israel Palestinian Affairs: (Promoted) Hady Amr.
One year after September 11, Amr wrote: “I was inspired by the Palestinian intifada.”
Discussing his work as the national coordinator of the anti-Israel Middle East Justice Network “…Arabs will never, never forget what the Israeli people, Israeli military and Israeli democracy have done to Palestinian children. And there will be thousands who will seek to avenge these brutal murders of innocents…”
He also threatened Americans that “we too shouldn’t be shocked when our military assistance to Israel and our security council vetoes that keep on protecting Israel come back to us…”. He accused Israel of “ethnic cleansing” and has also been pushing the American government to make a deal with Hamas.
Amr worked with Martin Indyk, an anti-Israel figure in the Democrat foreign policy establishment who had worked with Clinton and Obama for the State Department. Amr’s career fuelled by his work with Indyk joined the State Department and eventually became the Deputy to the Special Envoy for Israeli-Palestinians Negotiations for Economics and Gaza” under Obama during a period when there were no such negotiations. Before his new appointment Amr acted as a big money bundler for Biden. Such are samples of Amr’s thinking and his qualifications for the job. Daniel Greenfield, Biden’s New Asst Sec of State worked for Islamic Terror State [Qatar] That Funds Hamas, Jihad Watch, February 4, 2021 https://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/2021/02/bidens-new-asst-sec-state-worked-islamic-terror-daniel-greenfield/
Director of National Intelligence Director: (Promoted) Avril Haine (Jewish)
“Described as rabidly anti-Israel….In May [2020] she signed a vicious J Street letter with 30 notoriously Israel-loathing former foreign- policy officials calling on the Democratic Party to oppose Israel’s lawful rights in Judea and Samaria, et al.”
P.S.
Undersecretary of Civilian Security, Democracy and Human Rights: Uzra Zeya (nominee)
This is the second nomination in the area of human rights after the disastrous nomination of Christine Clark to head the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice which I discussed in the context of Biden’s electoral pitch to the Jewish community.
Zeya’s nomination promises to be another disastrous nomination as that of Christine Clarke. Zeya is reported to have played a key role in assembling a book on the nefarious influence of the “Israel lobby” while working for an organization that promoted claims about a Jewish media control and dual loyalty to Israel. For more on Zeya and the book, cf. Alana Goodman, Biden Nominee for Top State Department Post Contributed to Book About How ‘Israel Lobby’ Controls American Politics, Washington Free Beacon, February 18,2021 https://freebeacon.com/biden-administration/biden-nom-for-top-state-dept-post-contributed-to-book-about-how-israel-lobby-controls-american-politics/
In Part 8-2, I will continue with the review of Biden’s high level nominations and appointments relevant to the American foreign policy on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and, if any new one(s) those relevant domestic policy.
