‘Hail to the Chief’ or “Hail to the Thief”?
No matter how the debate as to whether the Democrats ran roughshod over the US Constitution in an effort to get Biden elected concludes the Chief will enter the presidency under a cloud.
The writer’s prediction
Based on the evidence available to date, Joe Biden’s questionable election as President of the United States (U.S) is a compounded disaster in the making as it follows for Obama’s Middle East policy concerning Iran, the Palestinian Authority and the peace schemes he kept Israel to accept.
He has already managed to inflict two blows, curiously enough, both to the Canadian and the American economy – First by fulfilling his campaign promises to cancel the Keystone XL pipeline without quite reading the order signed and its adverse consequences. Peter Schweizer, Chasing the Dragon, Gatestone Institute February 4, 2021, www.gatestoneinstitute.org
Second by ordering that the federal government give preference to purchasing American made products, obviously without first investigating the economics of the scheme. Cf. David Lynch, Jeff Stein, and Ashley Parker, Biden signs order pushing federal government to buy more American products-Measure likely to irk allies, raise taxpayer costs”, The Washington Post, January 25, 2021. www.washingtonpost.com › us-policy › 2021/01/25
Preliminary questions
Will Biden serve his full term?
Martin Sherman, the founder and executive director of the Israel Institute for Strategic Studies in an article titled Has the Democrats’ push to depose Biden documented the way the media covered Joe and his son Hunter’s foreign business dealings, gently and dismissively and the Federal Justice Department did not publicly report the existence of a federal investigation into the subject during the election period only to toughen up the coverage after the polls were closed. Sherman concludes that “the contour lines of an approaching scenario in which Biden, exposed both as frail and mendacious, is forced to step down and concede the presidency to Harris are gradually coming into focus.”
Sherman further reinforces the possibility of this scenario when he points out that strangely enough of all the persons he could have chosen as his running mate, he chose the one former candidate, Kamala Harris,” who during the TV debates had viciously excoriated hum during the primaries for his record on race relations, complicity with segregationists and sexual impropriety, adamantly proclaiming that she believed the women who had complained about his unwanted sexual advances.”. That is,unless he was forced to do so.
In the meantime, Biden thought it necessary to assure his advisors and possibly some others such as Harris that he will serve only one term.
Is Biden the right person to be the Commander-in-chief of the U.S. Army?
Biden, as his predecessor, did not do military service. As a university student who played football, and worked as a lifeguard in high school he managed to get five draft deferments from the Vietnam War, first as an undergraduate and then as a law student before he was granted a medical exemption for asthma. Asthma?
Biden is known to detest the Army. One of the first things he did in the Oval Office was to have the Army flags removed from the Office. After two weeks of sleepless nights protecting Washington and ensuring the safe and orderly swearing –in ceremony, about 5000 National Guardsmen were forced to leave the congressional grounds to take their rest outside and sleep inside a parking garage with one bathroom and one power outlet. In response to the public kerfuffle caused by this turn of events, Biden apologised to the Chief of the National Guard Bureau.
The feelings between the Army and the President must be mutual as a fair number of the Guardsmen or soldiers (unclear) placed along the route taking Biden and his wife to Washington, turned their backs on the President to be. Biden’s high-level appointments – Preliminary comment
Clearly, in search of candidates to staff the sizable number of vacant high level positions in his administration, Biden considered first those he worked for him during his Vice-Presidency and those formerly employed by Obama whose work impressed him. He also appointed some science professionals, two of whom happen to be Jewish, one of them is a transgender person. Given Biden’ goal to surround himself with people who represent the diversity of the American society, I am not sure whether this person was a chosen to represent the transgender community.
I gather that by now half of his Cabinet members are of the Jewish faith. In the olden days, such an event would have been seen and taken as an achievement by and for a minority group.
Nowadays, the first question that occurred to me was: Yes, but what kind of Jews are they? So-called “progressives”? Or old –fashioned loyal American Jews who defend Israel against the progressive ones including a number of them in the Reform establishment who by omission or commission aid and abet both the antisemites and the enemies of Israel.
Certainly those who previously worked for Obama are “progressives” because Obama told one of them that he “liked ‘progressives’ and disliked Zionists”.
And I should think that, unless one is a cold-blooded career opportunist who took the job for its future benefits and towards this end, was ready to put up with Obama’s queer views of the Jewish world, and play the progressives’ game, no one who was not progressive, could have stuck it out in Obama’s circle.
And as members of the Obama team, they had no problem in carrying on with Obama’s disastrous foreign policies in the Middle-East.
The second question occurred to me was, whether the substantial number of such Jewish appointments would not inevitably sooner rather later feed the old antisemitic libel about the Jews controlling the government, the media and the finances of the country and end up causing another sharp increase in the rate and gravity of hate crimes committed against the Jewish community in the U.S. and possibly abroad.
Finally, I wondered why American Jews talking about and applauding the number of Jewish appointments to high level positions, they are not instead taking a closer look at those appointed to determine whether these people bode well for either the American Jewish community or for Israel.
On this test, most regretfully, the new Jewish incumbents of the highly sensitive key appointments in foreign affairs and intelligence are the kind that will reprise Obama’s disastrous Middle-East policies concerning Syria, Iraq, the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and Iran sworn to acquire nuclear warheads and to destroy Israel.
A large number of these folks are scary. If the reader, thinks I am exaggerating, I refer her or him to Joan Swirsky, Joe’s Jews-all hate Jews and Israel, Israpundit, February 1,2021 www.israpundit.org › joes-jews-all-hate-jews-and-israel

Is Biden all there?
During the election Biden promised to devise and implement an effective climate strategy as a major plank of his election campaign. Proper energy policies and programs are essential components of the strategy.
Biden’s nominee to head the Department of Energy is Jennifer Grandholm. She served as a governor of Michigan from 2003 to 2011. During her tenure, she invested millions in taxpayer funds to alternative energy start-ups that went bankrupt. During her tenure, barely 2.3 percent of the 434 projects were successful in meeting their projected job creation goal. And that is not all. Cf. Andrew Kerr, Biden’s Energy Nominee…., Daily Caller, January 27, 2021 www.dailycaller.com › 2021/01/27 › jennifer-granholm-michig…
And there is an even stranger incident, to really wonder whether he is all there. During the election campaign, Biden compared Trump to Hitler’s top Minister Joseph Goebbels.
During the final presidential debate on October 22, President Trump argued that “having a good relationship with leaders of other countries is a good thing”. Biden retorted “we had a good relationship with Hitler before he in fact invaded Europe.”
Biden’s illustration of what in his mind constitutes a “good relationship” by pointing to that pursued by President Roosevelt who entertained cordial and sometimes friendly relations with Hitler between 1933 and 1941, while the self-same Goebbels together with others of his ilk were engaged in the inhumane persecution of German and Austrian Jews’; planning their extermination and carrying out the plan, says something about Biden’s mental compass. For a fuller report on this subject cf. Rafael Medoff, Joe Biden, FDR and the Nazis, the Algemeiner, November 1, 2020; Watch: Biden compares Trump to infamous Nazi Joseph Goebbels, Hitler’s top minister, World Israel News (WIN) September 29, 2020 at MSNBC www.algemeiner.com › 2020/11/01 › joe-biden-fdr-an…
For sure, if instead of Goebbels, Trump had been there, and treated the European Jews the way he treats the American Jewish community as President of the United States, the European Jewish communities would have felt and been the happiest ones on earth.
In Part 7, I propose to take a closer look at President Biden’s own foreign policy commitment concerning Israel and his relationship with the American Jewish community.
