Preliminary note: I readily confess that I am disgusted with the UE`s abject dealings against Israel in the context of the Palestinian-Israel conflict. I documented these earlier this year.
European Union`s corrupt stance towards Israel, 2020/5/22; The E.U.’s Middle-East policy is antisemitic, 2020/05/27 and The E.U.’s commitment to Israel’s security, 2020/06/02; Open Letter to Josep Borrell and to the Governments of the E.U countries, 2020/08/05. https://blogs.timesofisrael.com/author/dogan-akman/
Borrell’s worldwide invitation to fight terrorism, hate speech and online nurturing of Terrorism
When Josep Borrell Fontelles, High Representative of the European Union cum the European Union Minister for Foreign Affairs is not busy issuing his interminable daily Press releases which contain a periodic dose of anti-Israeli phlegm, he is busy publishing from his HR/VP Blog.
His latest one is titled: We need to fight Islamist terrorism together, published close to midnight on November 3. The opening paragraph of the blog reads:
“There is never any justification for callous killings such as those that have taken place recently in France and Austria. The E.U. stands united and we appeal to all our partners in the world to work closely with us to fight terror, hate speech and disinformation.”
Contrary to the evidence concerning the killings in France and in Austria, towards the end of his homily, he went on to state: ”Let us be very clear: the clash is not between Islam and other beliefs. It is a clash between civilisation and barbarism, between respect for life and nihilistic terrorism.” And to make sure the reader did not miss what he is being clear about, he printed again the rest of the sentence in something like Arial 18 font italics.
In conclusion, he states: “We need all leaders to take a strong stance. Everywhere. In that respect, I thank governments, political and religious leaders, particularly in Islamic societies, who have spoken out condemning these murderous terrorist attacks and supporting peaceful co-existence.”
The E.U.: A terrorist conglomerate of states
Given the late hour of the night, I wonder what Borrell must have been thinking when he wrote this blog, he certainly was not thinking right because, the E.U. is the biggest conglomeration of terrorism financing states.
The Oslo accords officially signed on September 13, 1993 established the Palestinian Authority (“P.A.”). In 1992, the Maastricht Treaty, concluded between the twelve member States of the European Communities became the foundation treaty of the European Union established the European Authority, went into effect a little later, on November 1, 1993.
In the fullness of time, the E.U. and a number of its member states collectively became a major financial supporter of the P.A. and UNWRA.
In the process, through its financial support it became the conglomerate of states that financed P.A’s terrorism program. More specifically, Palestinian terrorist attacks killed a) nearly 300 Israelis from the Oslo Accords (Sept. 1993) until September 2000; b) another 1100 Israelis during the Palestinian Al-Aqsa Intifada (Sept. 2000 – Dec. 2005) , and c) nearly 250 Israeli lives since December 2005 not to mention the thousands of Israelis injured as a result of these attacks and the foreign visitors who met similar fates.

During all of this time and until the fall of this year, I do not recall, the E.U. taking any purposive action to deter, let alone stop the P.A. from engaging in terrorism by reducing or withholding its financial assistance that in due course was used to finance the P.A.’s generously remunerated “slay for pay” program.
This fall, the E.U. finally made the meek effort to ask the P.A. to stop financing terrorism. Nor did at any time, did the E.U. remind the P.A of its obligation under the Oslo agreements to prevent terrorism, to arrest the perpetrators of terrorism and turn them over to the Israeli authorities for trial.
On the contrary, the E.U. and some of its member states like Germany saw to it that the P.A. terrorism continued to be carried on by the up and coming successive generations program by financing the UNWRA school system whose textbooks are designed to praise and promote terrorism as a career venue.
They also saw to that by financing foreign and domestic NGOs in Israel and in the P.A. territory that also happens to be associated with P.A. terrorists organisations.
Nor has the E.U. done anything to stop Hamas from engaging in its increasingly sophisticated terrorist operations which commenced in 2001.
The European Union Minister for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell Fontelles, pretends to be against terrorism but fails to acknowledge the E.U. actively funds it.
And despite the fact that both Hamas and Hezbollah are financed by the terrorist state of Iran, the E.U. has done nothing to induce, convince or deter Iran from continuing to finance its terrorist surrogates and instead chose to find the ways and means to help Iran beat the American sanctions.
Finally, needless to say, the E.U. countries have done very little if anything to protect effectively their respective populations from imported terrorism.
If anything, in pursuit of their mindless globalism, ignoring their respective security services’ cautionary warnings, they,
a) imported terrorism and cultural barbarism through their indiscriminate refugee and migrant intake processes without regard to the safety and security of their citizens and inhabitants and
b) practiced an open door policy and gave full freedom of movement and action to foreign organisations associated with terrorist activities which carry radical ideologies hostile to the anti-European Judeo-Christian civilisation, that in turn further aggravated the plights of their respective countries
With the memory of Shoah still alive with the breath of its survivors, the E.U. countries can take perverse pride in causing the reduction of the size of the European Jewish population to that which it was back in the late years of the 10th century and early years of the 11th century.
So much for Borrell’s perfidious invitation to fight terrorism, hate speech and online nurturing of terror.
As this went to press, he released a fond farewell for Saeb Erekat:
Statement by the HR/VP Josep Borrell on the death of Saeb Erekat
It is with great sadness that I learned that Saeb Erekat, Secretary General of the PLO Executive Comittee, passed away today. His passing away represents a great loss for the Palestinian people and for the Middle East Peace Process. During his life Saeb Erekat relentlessly sought to fulfil the legitimate aspirations of his people. As a key participant to the negotiations for the Oslo Accords, he always advocated a just and lasting negotiated two state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He personally contributed to developing close relations between the EU and Palestine. I am grateful to him for his contribution in this regard. I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family, to the Palestinian Liberation Organisation and to the people of Palestine.
Tell me who your friends are, and I will tell you what you are.
