On hot topics ranging from commemorating the murders of Jews in Argentina in 1994 to Foodbenders in Toronto to the Black Lives Matter movement to Canadian monuments for Ukrainian collaborators helping Hitler enact the Final Solution, our readers have offered up their comments:

RE: Victims Of Terrorism: Remembering The AMIA Bombing 26 Years Later

I agree. The Canadian government’s support of these terrorist organizations is immoral and unacceptable!

Zero Tolerance to Foodbenders & people like them

It is despicable how the store, “Foodbenders,” promotes hate & praises terrorism against Jews.  Free speech is one thing, but when one promotes hate & terrorism, it is quite another thing.

Let us never forget. It was these same type of hate & words that led to the Holocaust.  Our leaders & politicians should show Zero Tolerance to Foodbenders & people like them.  Enough of political correctness!

Let us teach each other that there is a G-d that watches what we say & do.

We are accountable for our actions. We need to teach that every human is created in the image of G-d. We can use our G-d given talents to build or to destroy.

A girl once asked a Rabbi, “Is atomic energy good or bad?”

The Rabbi asked her, “is the knife in your kitchen good or bad?

The girl replied, “it depends on what it’s used for.”

If it is used to cut food, then it’s good. If it’s used to hurt someone, then it’s bad. The same is for atomic energy & for any technology.

May we all use our G-d given talents for good things! May we merit to a time of Peace & good health, speedily in our days, Amen!

Blatant Antisemitism

Amazing in a way that it’s so blatant here, but when viewed with the antisemitic black lives matter, etc. in the news, perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised.  Scared yes, but not surprised.

Re: Round Up: Jew-Hate In Canadian News

Yes. What really gets me is African Americans (some in the news lately) who are antisemitic. They don’t understand that the Jews have been oppressed for thousands of years. Blacks and Jews should stand together, not hate on each other.

I know that some of this stems from not knowing history, some is jealousy because they truly believe all Jews rich. I don’t know the figures, but percentage-wise I’m pretty sure Rich Black Americans don’t fall too far behind. Good for them, just don’t blame people who had to work damn hard for their money, and who also up until the 1970s were (and maybe still are) banned from joining certain institutions.

Sorry. On a rant. I’m particularly thinking of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.  Don’t feel bad for her AT ALL. Peace to all.

P.S. As for anti-Israel speech, first, let America give the land back to native Indians (indigenous peoples). Then we’ll talk. Canada also. It’s absurd.

Immigration from antisemitic places

Why I hesitate to go into even a Falafel place. I don’t know where some of the money will go. When one scratches beneath the surface it is always there. Islamic immigration into the west for those fleeing intolerable conditions to make a new life can bring with it poisonous attitudes that affect our daily life and may be behind the upsurge we see in racist actions we are seeing in many places.

We can see it today even in the US Congress, and, I believe, behind Trudeau’s cabinet door. What with Trump and some of his supporters on the other side, and like-minded in Europe, we are seeing so much of what we thought we had left behind. We get action and reaction. It makes me sad.

Thank you for choosing TheJ.Ca as your source for Canadian Jewish News.

We do news differently!

Our positioning as a Zionist News Media platform sets us apart from the rest. While other Canadian Jewish media are advocating increasingly biased progressive political and social agendas, TheJ.Ca is providing more and more readers with a welcome alternative and an ideological home.

We revealed the incursion of anti-Israel progressive elements such as IfNotNow into our communities. We have exposed the distorted hateful agenda of the “progressive” left political radicals who brought Linda Sarsour to our cities, and we were first to report on many disturbing incidents of Nazi-based hate towards Jews across Canada.

But we can’t do it alone. We need your HELP!

Our ability to thrive and grow in 2020 and beyond depends on the generosity of committed readers and supporters like you.

Monthly support is a great way to help us sustain our operations. We greatly appreciate any contributions you can make to support Jewish Journalism.

We thank you for your ongoing support.
