On behalf of our team at TheJ.ca, I welcome all of the readers who have joined our effort to grow Jewish Journalism in Canada with quality columnists and incisive news reporting. Over 1000 subscribers to our e-newsletter and thousands more finding us online through our robust social media presence, are visiting our site and enjoying the content.

An important part of our media platform is to acknowledge the feedback we get, whether complimentary, critical, or just offering advice.  Sometimes it is sent directly to our writers and sometimes through the editorial email chain.

I’d like to provide a sample from the first few weeks, for your consideration.

Hi Aviva,

My name is Marcy Bruck, and I’m the daughter-in-law of Saul Bruck, one of the survivors profiled in your wonderful article. I’m also the communications director for The Foundation for Genocide Education here in Montreal. I want to thank both you and TheJ.ca for writing and publishing this tribute to the strength and resilience of our survivors. My father in law has become quite the minor celebrity during this campaign, sharing his experiences and advice in videos and news articles. He doesn’t think it’s a big deal, but I feel it’s great for him and others to be heard and thought of during this time of crisis and isolation.

Thank you again, and I will be sure to follow TheJ.ca in the future for more insightful articles.

All the best,

Marcy

TheJ.ca site looks robust.  It looks from here like a very successful start.  Well done!  Very proud to be affiliated with you guys. Keep up the great work.  I’m impressed!”

Dear Ron,

I was happy to hear that you and your team were spearheading a new Canadian Jewish newspaper.

I am not sure who you hope your audience will be but I can say that part of the CJN’s failure was that the articles were geared to those older members of the community and those more right of Center.

While I am now considered a senior I hope that a more progressive approach will be taken.

I have often sent my Millennial children articles from The Forward and those they will read.

All the best.

Gail

Message: ‘Will Montreal be the next L.A.?:

That is inflammatory and smacks of looking to create a story where none exists. And I don’t stick my head in the sand. If this is what I can expect from the website, count me out.

I wish you luck with new new publication: we need a Zionist alternative to the leftist anti-Israel reporting we see everywhere, even by Jewish publications.

Message: Just sent to you $72 as my initial subscription. Keep up the good work! I hope you succeed!

Thank you for choosing TheJ.Ca as your source for Canadian Jewish News.

We do news differently!

Our positioning as a Zionist News Media platform sets us apart from the rest. While other Canadian Jewish media are advocating increasingly biased progressive political and social agendas, TheJ.Ca is providing more and more readers with a welcome alternative and an ideological home.

We revealed the incursion of anti-Israel progressive elements such as IfNotNow into our communities. We have exposed the distorted hateful agenda of the “progressive” left political radicals who brought Linda Sarsour to our cities, and we were first to report on many disturbing incidents of Nazi-based hate towards Jews across Canada.

But we can’t do it alone. We need your HELP!

Our ability to thrive and grow in 2020 and beyond depends on the generosity of committed readers and supporters like you.

Monthly support is a great way to help us sustain our operations. We greatly appreciate any contributions you can make to support Jewish Journalism.

We thank you for your ongoing support.
